Big time players make big time plays in big time games no matter what week of the year.
Matt Barkley QB of USC is big time and killing it, in case you're on east coast time the Trojan QB is hosting a showcase for best QB in the country.
His numbers speak for themselves and he has that element big time playmakers must have to win.
The bigger the game the bigger he plays.
We're talking 3,105 yards passing 33 TDs and seven interceptions which are Heisman numbers in case you were wondering. His 34 completions, 468 passing yards and 6 TD passes are USC single game records records.
Barkley is a top five QB in the country and there is another QB out there who has been playing lights out.
Working on his Masters after already earning his degree in Political Science, Robert Griffin III of Baylor has been a big time playmaker all season. And knocking off Oklahoma this past weekend has cast Griffin into Heisman talk with his all around athletic play and precision passing.
Griffin's 3,572 yards passing, 33 touchdowns and 5 interceptions are monster numbers for the junior QB.
His 479 yards and 4 TDs in their 38-45 win over Oklahoma was big time and set the tone for the Bears bowl quest. Facing Texas Tech then Texas the week after will be no easy feat but the Bears will be up for battle behind the arm of Griffin III.
A football player who has balled week after week is Georgia playmaker Brandon Boykin. He picked off a pass caught one pass for 22 yards and returned a kick for 16 yards in their 19-10 win over Kentucky. Boykin anchors the 9-2 Bulldogs who clinched the SEC East and face rival Georgia Tech on Saturday at 9a.m.
Idaho has a football player named Korey Toomer who scored three touchdowns on eight carries for 15 yards he also knocked down five tackles, grabbed a fumble recovery banged out a sack and added 1.5 tackles for loss. The Vandals lost in OT 49-42 to Utah State.
Trent Richardson of Alabama busted for 175 yards on 32 carries in their 42-21 drubbing of Georgia Southern.
Michigan State baller Keyshawn Martin yanked in eight receptions for 99 yards and a TD, he also busted on one carry for 19 yards and another TD in their 55-3 romp of Indiana.
Boise State QB Kellen Moore hauled off 366 yards passing and four touchdowns in their 52-35 win over San Diego State.
Tulsa's Trey Watts returned two kick returns for 113 yards and a touchdown, he also snatched up four receptions for 72 yards and had 10 carries for 69 yards rushing in their 57-28 win over UTEP.
Tyrann Mathieu of LSU batted a pass and knocked down four tackles in the 52-3 romp of Ole Miss.
Andrew Luck of Stanford passed for two touchdowns and 257 yards edging California 31-28.
Don't'a Hightower of Alabama banged out six tackles and blocked a kick against Georgia Southern.
Penn State DT, Devon Still, still has 16.5 tackles for loss.
